During the winter of 1975, a young man and his dog set up camp just off the coast of Key West, sometimes accompanied by his girlfriend and his many friends. Their mission was to party and to create an artistic life on the lam. The following chronicles describe the capers, the explanations, the why and the where, as well as the many artists and characters who enjoyed this frivolity for over thirty years in the various studios the young man set up. From Key West, 90 miles north of Havana, then heading north up the East Coast to the Nation’s capital, and finally later on the Left Coast of the USA, Captain Squid of the Tentacle Room and Mate Mutley his trusted dog, collected friends and stories.
